Air and ventilation

Ceiling and exhaust fans, matched to the room

A large selection of ceiling and exhaust fans for the kitchen, bathroom, family room or outdoor patio, plus builder and model home fan packages.

Chapter 01

Kitchen, bath, family room or patio: the room decides the fan

A fan chosen for a family room and a fan chosen for a bathroom are not doing the same job, and Arrow racks a large enough selection across all three counters that the room, not the display wall, ends up deciding the pick. A family room or bedroom fan is mostly about moving air and looking right on the ceiling it hangs from. A kitchen or bath fan is mostly about ventilation, pulling steam and moisture out of a room that generates plenty of both.

A patio is its own category again. Anything hung outside, covered or not, has to be built to live outside, and that is a different product line than the fan that has done fine in a family room for ten years. Bring the room, or a photo of it, and the counter can point toward the line that actually fits it.

Ceiling fans and exhaust fans are not the same product

Canarm and Emerson cover most of the ceiling fan side of the aisle, the decorative fans that move air in a living room, bedroom or covered patio and are picked as much for how they look on the ceiling as for what they do once they are running. Nutone/Broan and Marley (Fasco) cover the exhaust fan side, the ventilation fans built into a bathroom or kitchen ceiling to pull moisture and odor out of the room rather than to move air around it.

Confusing the two categories at the counter is an easy mistake to make and an easy one to avoid, since a ceiling fan and an exhaust fan solve different problems even when they end up in the same ceiling. Saying which room the fan is going into and what it is meant to do gets you to the right aisle faster than a brand name does.

Chapter 03

Builder and model home fan packages

A builder outfitting a run of homes, or a remodeler working through a model home, does not want to make the room-by-room decision above on every unit individually, and Arrow's builder and model home packages are built for exactly that. Fan selections get coordinated across a whole home or a whole development, rather than negotiated one ceiling at a time.

The same coordination works at the scale of a single house with several rooms needing fans at once. Come in with the room list, whether that is two bathrooms and a family room or a full builder spec, and the counter can work through it as one order rather than several separate trips.
