Everything below is sold over the counter to homeowners and to licensed electricians. Arrow does not install or repair, and will say so before you buy.

The trade counter

Boxes, breakers, conduit, wire, fittings, heat cable and the small hard-to-find parts that stop a job. The line card runs from Square D and Siemens to Lutron, Wiremold and Arlington, and we will special order what is not on the shelf.

Generac, sold straight

A full line of Generac generators for keeping the lights on when the storms come through. We sell the unit and we will recommend a qualified, experienced electrician to install it, because the install is the part that has to be right.

Whichever one is closest to the job.

Arrow started in Fallston in 1973, moved to Bel Air in 1977, took over the Aberdeen address in 1980, built the Gateway Drive building in 1986 and opened Cecil County in 1999. All three counters are open and staffed.

The sign was hand-painted. The habit did not change.

Arrow was created in 1973 in Fallston with a vision to supply Northern Maryland. Four years later it moved to Bel Air, and it has been trading out of the same market, under the same family, ever since. Three generations of relocations, from a single storefront to three full showrooms.

The reason to say that out loud is not nostalgia. It is why somebody at the counter recognises a part number from a fixture that has not been made in twenty years.

Before you drive over

No. Arrow is a supply house, not a contractor. We sell the fixtures, generators and electrical materials over the counter, and we will point you to a qualified, experienced electrician to do the installation. That is true of generators in particular, where the install is the part that has to be done right.

No. We work with consumers and contractors both. A homeowner replacing one outdoor lantern gets the same counter and the same advice as an electrician picking up a job's worth of material.

We special order items we do not stock. Between three locations we carry a lot of hard-to-find material, and if it is not in Bel Air it may be in Aberdeen or Elkton, so it is always worth asking.

Whichever is closest. Bel Air at 220 Gateway Drive is the main location and the biggest showroom, Aberdeen is at 522 S. Philadelphia Blvd., and Elkton at 35 Augustine Herman Highway covers Cecil County. All three are open weekday mornings from 7:00 or 7:30.
